If you’re thinking of exercise instructors on TV who smile through hour-long aerobics routines, remember that they’ve been at it for quite a while. Doing crunches is a heck of a lot easier for them because they have chiseled abs. Unfortunately, they got those abs by doing a lot of crunches! Whether you’re doing crunches, playing tennis, or jogging, you have to stick to it if you want to see results. But if you exercise too much, too soon, it’s going to get harder before it gets easier.
So if you’re a beginner, start slowly. You can’t necessarily hop on the stationary bike at the gym and hammer away, working at the same resistance and speed as the last person, no matter how easy she made it look. Start with low-intensity, low-duration workouts until you build up your endurance and strength. The workouts should be challenging, but not so difficult that you end up spending the rest of your day trying to recover.
Some forms of exercise, such as playing racquet sports or using a cross-country ski machine, take a certain amount of skill. And exercise is always tougher than it looks when you choose an activity that requires practice to master. Conversely, exercise comes naturally if it takes little skill. That’s why walking is always a good place to start, since it’s simple to do and is accessible to virtually everyone. And some exercise machines are easier than others, especially something like a stationary bike that requires very little skill. Others can be a bit awkward.
So start simply and have fun, and you’ll stay motivated in the long run. This can be very effective if you're applying the quickest way to lose weight diet plan.
